The Role of a Youth Worker

Youth Workers are tertiary qualified professionals who empower young people to live their best lives.

We are fun, positive and innovative!

We can be a first point of contact for a young person to get help.

We provide information, advice, referrals and support to young people who are in need or do not have the resources, or confidence to do it themselves.

We consult with young people and invite input into the programs and services we deliver.

We work on different strengths-based programs targeted to the needs of local young people.

Youth Workers keep young people safe by helping them make positive health and relationship choices.

We can help with:

  • Mental health
  • Homelesness
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Domestic violence
  • Advocacy
  • Job seeking
  • Relationships
  • Life skills.
